Virgil
Virgil’s second great poem, called “The Georgics”, is about the art of farming. Sounds prosaic enough, but just listen to Cambridge poet David Ferry, as he reads from his acclaimed translation of the poem. It might surprise you. This recording was made at the Harvard Book Store.
